My recent life

Autumn is completely different in the south and the north. My hometown is Chengdu, Sichuan province in southern China, where the temperature is around twenty degrees in autumn and the leaves do not fade extensively. Now I'm in the north of China, in Shandong province, where the maple leaves are already red and the temperature is gradually dropping, averaging only about ten degrees. I took this picture yesterday in Jinan, Shandong Province, and it's beautiful with red maple leaves and reeds all over the mountains.

This is the dog I adopted from the rescue in September of this year, her name is Changan and she is a year and a half old. A Labrador who is trying to lose weight, she was only 50 pounds when I adopted her and now she's up to 70 pounds. She is a little shorter than a regular Labrador because she was abused as a child and had her limbs broken.

The first time I tried the northern copper pot shabu-shabu, a different kind of Sichuan hot pot where water is used as the soup base, while the Sichuan hot pot soup base consists of dozens of ingredients. This hot pot in the north shabu-shabu is served directly after the water is boiled, and the dipping sauce is sesame sauce. I have to say that having a hot pot like this in winter is really super satisfying. That's probably the only reason I like northern winters too
